It was an early morning in the forests of eastern Thailand... As the early morning rays of light pierced the canopy a small Thai schoolgirl patiently awaited her elephant companion to listen to the story she was reading out loud. As the elephant reached out his trunk to explore the book being presented, the young girl gently reached forward to caress the probing pachyderm... such an incredibly poignant moment
